Adventures at Ruth's Place

Sometime this summer Ruth's brother Michael came to visit St. Louis and we joined them for dinner at Ruth's place. Michael taught English in China the previous year and while he had a summer vacation payed a visit to his older sister. Ruth cooked dinner and we brought the dessert. One of the easiest desserts to make is chocolate fondue. The pot does the work and we do the stirring. We had yummy pineapple, strawberries, marshmallows, and pretzels.

Another night this summer, Ruth invited us for games and ice cream. Here we are playing Jenga or as I have the generic version called "Tumbling Tower II". We also like to play speed scrabble. Ruth and Tim usually win! They love words but I can hold my own with a few curve balls. My favorite thing to do is to make a really long word or a word with more than 4 or 5 letters, i.e. vegetable, vacation, meditating, etc.
