Happy One Year Together!

We celebrated our one year together since our first date on June 5th (I'm so glad he had the guts to ask me out). Then the next day we celebrated our 5 month anniversary. We decided to take on Al and Ruth Stith's celebration of month anniversaries also...maybe at our age we can make a 50th and 75th anniversary (via months).

Tim surprised me with a dinner at the Boat House and while we had an hour wait, he took me for a boat ride (row boat that is).

It was wonderful...even the sweet callouses he formed because he doesn't frequent the row boats. Of course he didn't say a word to me...just kept smiling and allowed me to sit on the end of the boat soaking in all the surrounding beauty! It was perfect! For those who don't know this side of Tim, he's full of romantic surprises.

We returned to land, ate dinner, drove to Central West End and had a one year reunion with Cafe Cartel where we had our first ice cream, first talk, and first real encounter of each other. We took a stroll with our ice cream in hand down these streets with large houses as we did before. We hoped that we would meet Mr. Cat again.

Let me introduce Mr. Cat to you. He made us laugh...for those who don't know, I am not a cat lover. I love big dogs! Cats make me sneeze with long exposures. Anyway, this cat followed us and kept rubbing on us. I was running away from the cat and Tim was laughing at me because the cat followed me of all people. The next time we saw him on those streets was the night Tim proposed. He previously mentioned the humorous possibility of seeing Mr. Cat again. To much delight he was there and this time I was going towards the cat showing him the ring and telling Mr. Cat that he was our talisman. This past June 5th, we walked these streets and Mr. Cat was still there and we celebrated with. I even petted Mr. Cat. It was a great evening full of fun, adventure, memories and yummy ice cream.

Wow! This is definitely a side of Tim that wasn't fully on display before you entered the scene, Emma. Great photos. Congrats on the milstones.
