We took a day trip to Devil's Lake State Park in Wisconsin on Saturday to see the leaves and enjoy the bluffs again. This past August, Tim and I joined my sisters family and my parents for a camping trip near this park. We loved it so much that we wanted to bring the Padgetts to Devil's Lake. It was SOOOOOO refreshing to be outdoors again. We hiked the first part of the North Shore Bluff hike. I took caution in my pace because there's no need to go into labor on the bluff. It was easier to do this time because the temperature was in the high 40's. Perfect for a 33 week mother to be with a natural heater built in. These trips are so therapeutic for me. Wisconsin really is Chicago's state park.

Family moment!
More evergreens in this area...not as colorful, but some spots were amazing.
This tree was all by itself shinning in it's glory of beauty.

Your pictures are so beautiful! The trees here haven't quite turned yet, but it is one of my favorite parts of fall!
What great pics!!! That looks like a stunning place. I think St. Louis has somehow forgotten that the leaves are supposed to be pretty and THEN fall off the trees. They're magically going from green on the tree to brown on the ground and skipping the changing part. :(
Anyway, you look GREAT! You're probably getting a bit uncomfortable, but try to treasure these last weeks of kicks and movement. It's such a special time. :) I'm still hoping we'll get to see you at Thanksgiving...
these are fantastic photos! Looks like you picked the peak weekend to be outside enjoying the fall color. Love seeing that growing belly, you look as radiant as the trees around you! :) We so look forward to meeting the little one!!!
