Chicago - Here we come!

The count down is now 5 weeks. Wow...already. And it seems as if I just got to St. Louis (2.5 years ago). Tim has been here for 4 years. Yippy, he is graduating...only on to do more schooling. We visited Trinity this past weekend for an event at Trinity that Tim attended. He met his advisor and got to sit in some classes. I was glad that I could go also to meet and see the campus he will be involved in. I am excited about the professors that he will be learning from. A professor once told us that you don't just take classes but you take the professor. The more we school, the more we see the truth in this. He will have some great professors that have a large heart and love for people. This is comforting for a wife whose husbands mind will be shaped by men whom I don't know who they are. We can no longer talk "shop" (talk about classes) because I won't be in any.

Let me tell you the story behind this town house that has our renting name all over it. Dr. Kim was a professor at Trinity and has recently moved to St. Louis. He owns a 3 bedroom town house about 15-25 min. from campus. The market is so bad right now he is trying to find some tenets to rent the house until the market changes. So he came to us in July and asked us to think about living there for the next 2 years. We both knew we couldn't afford the place but prayed that it would work out. We gave him a proposal that was 2 times the amount we pay now but $1,000 cheaper than that area. We thought it impossible but trusted and hoped for a miracle. We looked at the average pay in that area and gave him a price. He told us that our proposal was too much and that he only wants to pay mortgage. We were humbled and dumbfounded. So praise to brothers and sisters who are full of integrity and serve each other according to needs. We are paying less than campus housing.

This is a testimony that God wants us there in Chicago for sure these next 2 years.

What in the world are we going to do with 3 bedrooms? Hmmmm...an office for me/guest bedroom, another guest bedroom (so you must come stay with us), and Tim can have his office (his cave) in the basement. It's partially finished. He was so excited about the basement...he can put up his posters and a possible dart board.
And we have a 2 car garage...we are going to be spoiled after this place. It is about 1 block from a grocery store that I can walk to. It's perfect. We will give you a tour once we move in but you must come visit because we can now house many guests at once.
(Tim is waving from the front door.)

The patio in the back is the size of a table cloth. It's small but at least there is a yard to sit in. It's perfect for a few chairs and a grill. Yeah! We are currently void of sitting outside unless we sit on the sidewalk.

Wow! That place is amazing-and the way that God provided it is so beautiful. Why do we so quickly forget how much he cares about the details? It encourages me to hear your story. Looks like a blast in St. Charles. There are few who call me hobbit anymore, but Bilbo is still my middle name (I dropped the Lynn). Maybe the Chastains will make it to your guest room sometime. I'm hoping you'll make it to ours (well, our sleeper sofa anyway :0)
