Liam is helping mommy count all the bags for our first family camping trip (with Jason, Amy Ruth and Karissa Bartlett). We went to Sangchris Lake State Park near Springfield, Illinois.
We arrived at our cabin which was literally a wooden tent. But because it rained we were thankful for our first adventure with our little ones.
Our wooden tent had this great porch that our picnic table was on.
The wind was intense the first night. Liam all bundled up.
We enjoyed sitting around the fire and making S'Mores and sipping hot apple cider.
The sun came out on the 2nd day for half a day.
We enjoyed walks, yummy food, conversations and playing with our kids.

Brrrrrrr! Looks like you guys had tons of fun- glad you didn't freeze ;) Probably much warmer than sleeping in the tents! You'll have to let us know what you thought of the campground. We'll have to go next year!
